“Let’s Meet Offline!” is an Erasmus+ project involving one school and one NGO each from Poland, Greece, and Slovakia. The project aims to strengthen offline social relationships for children aged 9–13, reduce the overuse of digital devices, and support personal interactions through playful, experience-based activities.
The goal of the project is to reduce excessive screen time and enhance children’s offline social relationships through school- and home-based activities.
One of the core objectives is to increase the time children spend in real-life interactions, as growing screen use limits opportunities for developing communication, cooperation, and emotional skills. The project provides practical tools for schools and families to integrate playful, experience-rich offline activities into everyday life. The aim is not to exclude technology altogether, but to help children develop more balanced digital habits while learning the value of offline social life.
Teacher support is key, as many educators face challenges in motivating students to engage in offline activities. To this end, a Toolkit will be developed, including 20 lesson plans and 20 quick activity cards to help teachers easily adopt offline approaches in the classroom. A Booklet will also be produced, compiling research findings, case studies, and good practices to assist teachers in incorporating offline teaching.
Parents play a vital role in the project, as they significantly influence children’s digital habits. Therefore, they will receive practical resources to help reduce screen time and create meaningful family moments offline. As part of the program, school family events will be organized where parents and children can explore offline activities together. Intervention cards for parents will also be developed to offer concrete ideas on how to encourage offline time at home.
