Kocskovics Reczai Lilla
My dear husband’s grandmother once told me that her parents never taught her two things: how to be bored and how to fly. Since then, I often quote this as my motto, because she put into words exactly what I also feel about myself. Since primary school I have always been active in communities, and this didn’t change in high school either. That was when I joined the Rock Theatre in Nové Zámky (Érsekújvári Rockszínpad), an amateur theatre group. Later, the University Freshers’ Camp in Gýmeš (Gímesi Művelődési Gólyatábor) left a deep impression on me, since the following year I returned as an organizer to one of the most defining places of my life. I felt the same about the festival named Gombaszögi Nyári Tábor ("Gombaszög Summer Camp"), where I also joined as an organizer, and on top of that I had the opportunity to organize programs in children’s camps, in the József Attila Youth Club, and to take part in the organization of the Vektor Camp. For me, the phrase “you need a team” is self-evident, because community building and cooperation with people are essential parts of my being. That’s also why – and because I love reading – I founded a book club at my workplace, which is also based on teamwork. TANDEM gives me the opportunity to show that it truly feels good to be part of a team.
