Project Identification Number: 2024-1-HU01-KA220-SCH-000256403
Implementation Period: October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2026
This project is supported by the European Union.
Project Objective
The project aims to promote volunteering and support its quality implementation in the public education sector. At the heart of the project are teachers, students, and civil society organizations. The initiative seeks to encourage student participation in volunteering, enhance teachers’ competences, and provide methodological support to civil organizations so they can host volunteers more effectively and cooperate with educational institutions.
The project specifically addresses current challenges of volunteering, such as low student participation and the communication and structural shortcomings among host organizations. The goal is to establish a sustainable system that fosters long-term cooperation among stakeholders in volunteering at both national and international levels.
Target Group
The primary target group of our project consists of teachers and students in public education institutions, as well as civil society organizations that host volunteers. Teachers will receive training and methodological support for integrating volunteering into education, while students will acquire skills that enable them to confidently begin and carry out volunteer activities. Training modules developed for civil society organizations will help them build stronger relationships with schools and young volunteers.
Project Aim
With the project “Together for Strengthening Volunteering”, our aim is to support teachers, students, and volunteer-hosting civil society organizations in the field of volunteering. We provide teachers with materials, techniques, and good practices to better guide students towards volunteering. We strengthen students’ skills and motivation so that they can easily get involved in volunteer activities. At the same time, we develop the communication and methodological capacities of civil organizations, enabling them to welcome young volunteers and run successful programs.
The project includes a wide range of volunteering-oriented activities, reflecting the specificities of the three partner countries. A core element of the project is the development of methodological resources and the creation of national and international communication channels for effective networking. Our aim is to establish a long-term, sustainable system that supports cooperation between teachers, students, and civil society organizations in the field of volunteering. Another central element is the development of an online platform equipped with a comprehensive knowledge base, making volunteering more accessible for everyone. Finally, three international mobility programs will be organized, where members of the target groups can learn about the best practices of the partner countries.
